Privacy

Glitzify is a brand site. You cannot buy anything here, there is no account to create, and there is no checkout. That keeps this short, because we collect very little.

01   Who we are

Wonder Things Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 15197334. Registered office: 142-143 Parrock Street, Gravesend, England, DA12 1EY. We are the data controller for the small amount of personal data described on this page.

02   What this site collects

Nothing you type. There is no form on this site that sends data to us.

• Server logs. Our web server records the usual: IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. This happens on every website and we use it only to keep the site running and to investigate faults.
• Aggregated page statistics via Simple Analytics — how many people viewed a page, roughly where in the world they were, and which site sent them. It is cookieless and it does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites.
• A preference stored in your own browser. When you switch between the UK and US Amazon store we save your choice under glitzify_region in localStorage so the buttons point at the right shop next time. It holds the two letters "UK" or "US", never anything personal, it never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.

03   If you email us

The "Email me the drops" button and the contact links open your own email app with a message addressed to us — nothing is submitted through this website. If you do write to us, we hold your email address and what you wrote, so that we can reply and, where you asked to be told about new products, so that we can do that. You can ask us to delete it at any time and we will.

04   Why we are allowed to process it

For server logs and aggregated statistics, our legitimate interest in a working, understandable website. For email, either your consent (you asked to hear about new products) or our legitimate interest in answering a message you sent us.

05   Who else receives data

Loading this page contacts a small number of third parties, each of which necessarily sees your IP address because that is how the web works:

• Simple Analytics — aggregated, cookieless statistics.
• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — serves the typefaces this page uses.
• Tailwind CSS CDN (cdn.tailwindcss.com) — serves the stylesheet the home page uses.
• Our hosting provider — runs the server and holds its logs.

We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising or tracking pixels on this site.

06   International transfers

Google Fonts and the Tailwind CDN are operated by companies based in the United States, so requests for those files may be served from outside the UK. Simple Analytics is based in the Netherlands and states that it stores its data in the EU.

07   How long we keep it

Server logs are kept only as long as they are useful for running the site and are then rotated away. Simple Analytics holds aggregated statistics, not records about you. Emails we keep until you ask us to delete them, or until they are no longer relevant.

08   Cookies

This site sets no cookies at all. Simple Analytics is cookieless by design, and we run no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why you are not being asked to dismiss a consent banner. The only thing stored on your device is the region preference described in section 02, and that is localStorage rather than a cookie.

09   Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email hello@theglitzify.com and we will respond within one month. In practice, for most visitors we hold nothing that identifies you, so there may be nothing to send.

10   Complaints

If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
